Amy Belle : The story that moved the world :
One night, one song – and the world was moved. Amy Belle was just a shy young street artist from Glasgow when she was thrust into the spotlight by Rod Stewart. Together they performed I Don’t Want to Talk About It at the Royal Albert Hall – a duet that has since been viewed nearly a billion times on social media. The audience was spellbound. A star was born.
Now, 20 years later, Amy is once again ready to meet the audience – intimately, up close and completely real.
I Don't Want To Talk About It (from One Night Only! Rod Stewart Live at Royal Albert Hall)
Amy Belle was born Amy Lindop and grew up in Glasgow with her mother, father and 2 older brothers. At the age of 16, Amy dropped out of school and headed to London to focus on music. There she started The Alice Band, which released several releases - including Nothing On But The Radio, which was picked up by the Pepsi Chart in 2002.
But it was only when she returned home to Glasgow and once again stood alone on the streets playing, that the adventure really began. Rod Stewart's people discovered her, and suddenly she was on stage with a legend.
The duet changed everything. She was flown to Los Angeles, worked with superstars such as Chris Martin (Coldplay) and Tim Wheeler (Ash), released music and became the talk of the town. She was a special guest at major concerts with Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Robert Plant and the Pretenders to name a few. In addition, she delivered songs for Miley Cyrus and wrote and worked with Tim Wheeler, Coldplay's Chris Martin and the guys from the Doors and toured Europe as a special guest for Rodriguez, who many probably remember from the fantastic documentary " Searching for Sugar Man "
Then it was quiet for almost 10 years. A family was started and the music was put on the shelf. In 2024, a guy was sitting at home in Lillehammer in Norway and watched the concert One Night Only with Sir Royal Albert Hall which was rerun on TV. The duet with Rod came and the thoughts of What happened to Amy got stuck in his head. A little detective work was done and in a strange way we got the opportunity to send a message over to England. It took a couple of months and a response came back from Amy :). A message turned into an email and that turned into a phone call which in turn turned into an agreement to try a round in Norway :)
Since the start in May 2025, things have really gotten rolling and this has become a small success story. Amy has regained her desire and new songs are being written and Amy delivers the goods so that it lasts. The joy of having Amy back is clear and inquiries come in daily from all over the world to get Amy here and there :).
